• How do I change my alias (my fictitious name) used in comment postings?

Log in and, from the menu bar, access "My Account", then "Update my profile". Enter a new alias in the text box labeled "Alias for Forums", then click "Submit".

• How do I change my account password?

Log in and, from the menu bar, access "My Account", then "Other account settings". Click on the link that says "Click here to change your password". Enter your current password, and your new password (twice for verification) in the text boxes shown, then click "Submit".

• "Official" and "Unofficial" votes: What are the differences between the two?

Unofficial votes are votes that can be cast without having to log in to politagram. You will know that you are looking at unofficial poll results when the bars are shown in gray. Although we take measures to protect unofficial votes from being double-counted, such measures are not completely "hackproof". Hence the term "unofficial".

Official votes, on the other hand, can only be viewed and cast by a registered politagram user after logging in. The bars representing official votes will be shown in red. Since a login is required to cast an official vote, each vote can be "backed up" by a login ID (essentially an email address) and cannot be double-counted. This makes the number more reliable than an unofficial vote, a number that we can confidently present to legislators, news groups, and other interested parties.
